Enterprise Business Architect

Overview:
My client is seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Business Architect to align strategic business objectives with technology direction and lead enterprise-wide transformation. The successful candidate for this role will translate high-level goals into actionable architectural frameworks, working closely with senior stakeholders to support the organisation’s evolution into a data-driven, AI-enabled, and product-centric enterprise.

This is a 1-year contract with flexible working options. Dublin based client. Flexible working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, influencing enterprise-level decisions.
  • Lead business capability modeling, maturity assessments, and target architecture design.
  • Translate strategy into roadmaps aligned with business value streams and delivery priorities.
  • Collaborate with product and delivery teams to ensure architectural integrity and adaptability.
  • Drive technology, data, and AI enablement to support innovation and business growth.
  • Align domain-specific strategies with broader enterprise architecture.
  • Foster shared understanding between business and technology teams.
  • Guide architectural governance, vendor alignment, and platform upgrades.
  • Mentor architects to improve strategic alignment and business engagement.

Strategic Focus:

  • Shape domain strategies and capability-based roadmaps.
  • Govern integration of emerging tech for scalability and long-term value.
  • Partner with analytics and AI leaders to build ethical, business-aligned data capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in enterprise/business architecture.
  • Strong track record of strategic influence with senior business leaders.
  • Familiarity with data and AI strategy, agile/product-led delivery, and transformation programs.
  • Experience in matrixed/global environments and managing architectural investment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to simplify complex concepts visually.
  • Confident working independently or leading cross-functional initiatives.
